My name is Elena Mutonono, and I help online language teachers work more efficiently as they move away from exhausting 1:1 classes and overwork. Back in 2016 when I was desperately looking for ways to move away from what the "gurus" sold us as "freedom" -- the daily 5-7-hour Skype-lesson marathons, working with 1 client after another, not able to take a bathroom break, much less to eat -- I wrote a newsletter to my email list with an announcement of a paid webinar.

Creating that offer was something out of the world for me. I kept thinking, "who would pay for a webinar when everyone else is doing it for free?" I wondered if I was "expert enough." In the end I did it and I set the price at $20. I was sure nobody would buy, but about 30 people signed up for the event and for the program afterwards, and within 10 days I made $1,010.

Now mind you I'd never made money so easily. Just a couple of years prior to that email $1,000 would mean 40 Skype lessons and about 20 hours of prep work. And here I was -- sending 1 email, offering 1 event, creating an offer to follow that event and voila -- $1,010. I was shocked. And I was ready to yell about this from the rooftops.

Fast forward to 6 years later...

This image shows one of the main marketing types I use today to create money. Catch-up emails! Which is just one type of emails you will learn to write in this course, and it's the easiest way to invite your current and past clients to work with you.

You write an email to catch up, you share what's going on in your life, you create an offer or remind of an existing offer or a product and you make money -- you don't even need to have a list (although in this course you will find newsletter templates as well).

Here are some things you need to know.

Do I need an email list?

No. Having an email list is a bonus as you can use the newsletter templates but if you don't have the email list there are still ways for you to create value for your customers and exchange it for money!

I want to start teaching online. Is this for me?

No, this course is geared towards teachers who already have experience teaching 1:1 through a platform or on their own. Having a client list (with email addresses of course) is a prerequisite for this course.

How much feedback do I get?

Inside all of my courses there's a chat function. I respond to all the questions myself. If you need more support, there's an option to sign up for the Smart Teacher's Library to get more feedback and support inside a private forum or in monthly group coaching sessions.

What is my time commitment?
