Teaching 5-12 lessons a day, barely getting breaks, complaining about headaches, backaches, general fatigue and loss of passion for the one thing you know how to do well -- teach languages? It may have been amazing at the start: meeting all the new people from all around the world, listening to their stories, helping them enjoy their lives and vacations more, coaching them how to find better jobs or enter Universities.

But after a couple of years, the newness has worn off. You wonder: am I the only one like this? Feeling ashamed for hating teaching and resenting my clients and having a wild dance when someone cancels even if that means losing money? [Spoiler alert: you're not the only one!] 
Scrolling through your social media feed, you hear the big 6-figure-in-6-months coach telling you of the wonders of selling courses on autopilot or selling out $5,000 packages every week. You've tried those passive income blueprints, but for some reason they didn't work. You think, "Am I the only one who can't figure this thing out?" [Spoiler alert: you are not.]

You may wonder: how does she know all this?


Because that was my life for years. I taught my first Skype lesson (remember Skype?) back in 2008 and in a few years I was booked out beyond my wildest dreams. I had amazing clients and incredible reviews but with each day of insane teaching schedule I felt more resentful about this business. Why was it so hard for me to take a day off? I dreaded holiday seasons because it would mean a lower income month and I never turned down anyone because I believed that my client is "always right" and that it was my duty to help them. Also I was afraid to lose money.

I tried creating courses but could never market or sell them. 

Then I had my son and I knew there was no way I would be able to continue like that. So I wondered what it would be like if instead of spending 1-3 hours with the student in front of the screen, I could guide them to improve their skills and give them bite-sized feedback asynchronously, via voice messages or Google docs?

The program didn't work the first time.


I  underpriced it, and had no idea how to encourage my students to do their work. The tools I was using at the time were pretty buggy, too. We're talking 2013 -- Telegram was just invented and my phone was too old for that app! So I wrote off that idea for a couple of years, sent my first son to daycare and went back to the around-the-clock grind. Until my daughter came along and I gave the asynchronous program another chance, which is when it worked!

Fast forward to 2023

I've coached hundreds of teachers on how to teach languages in a more sustainable way through asynchronous programs and non 1:1 experiences. And today I'm bringing all of my 10+  year knowledge to you as the Asynchronous Program in a Box experience!
